Hormonal disease is Obesity

Hormonal disease is Obesity.

Insulin resistance is the deeper problem, which can further develop into metabolic disease such as diabetes.

Obesity may just be the body’s response to the trauma of insulin resistant cells.

Obesity can be seen as a protection mechanism for cells wanting to survive the constant wave of excessive amounts of blood sugar/glucose.

What is insulin resistance in cells?

The poor ability of insulin, the hormonal system, which has trouble directing Glucose/blood sugar to those cells throughout the body.

Hence, long-term answer may lie with human behaviour and changes made to one’s choices through support and education of preventative care via consuming a variety of biodynamic whole foods, and the total withdrawal of refined sugars, starches and grains found in our western processed diet.

Dr Lustig expresses Calorie is not a Calorie!

  • Some calories cause disease more than others
  • Different calories are metabolised differently.
  • Hence, sugar are Toxic calories, not empty calories.
  • Remember, fructose is found in fruit, why isn’t this bad for you? Simply, fibre in the fruit counteracts the effects of the sugar and therefore it’s better to consume raw fruit over fruit juice.
